TERMS OF SERVICE

(Updated 24/03/2022)
Please read this thoroughly and carefully. Upon commissioning or purchasing from me, you agree to the following:

1.  Etiquette

Rude, harassing, or unreasonable behaviour will not be tolerated. Any behaviour deemed as such by me will result in refusal of service and blacklisted whereby the blacklisted commissioner will be banned from further and future services. Depending on the type and severity of the behaviour, legal action may be taken. “Flooding” me with messages is also not tolerated whereby “flooding” is defined as sending me 10 messages in one go at any time without receiving a reply from me or without me actively participating in the conversation. Flooding will lead to you getting blacklisted.

If you exhibit any of the behaviours mentioned above when I have accepted your project, you will be given up to two warnings. If you continue exhibiting this behaviour after receiving the warnings, your project will be cancelled, and you will be blacklisted.

I reserve the right to share any inappropriate or unpleasant interactions with the public and/or other fursuit makers. I reserve the right to refuse sale or refuse to work with clients with allegations of serious criminal offence(s) or have previous conviction(s) for such offences. I also reserve the right to refuse service without reason.

2.  Ordering & Quotes

You must be 18 years old or over to commission me. Proof of age may be asked. If you are found to be lying about your age, you will be blacklisted and banned from future services. General prices will be subject to change per commission period. Please refer to the latest price guide when commissions are open for a more accurate estimate. Your character will be accepted depending on style, design, fur colour availability and my skill level. I will not take on a project I do not feel I can portray well. Successful applicants will be notified and receive a quote. I am unable to contact unsuccessful applicants if there is high demand. Please check my social media for updates.

2.1.  Ordering

Please fill in the order form in as much detail possible with a clear 2 – 3 view concept art to receive a price quote. A description is adequate, but you will be required to pay an additional non-refundable fee for a custom reference sheet; the price will be calculated upon discussion of details. This fee will be added to your deposit.

2.2.  Quotes

Quotes will be given in GBP. Any quotes given are an estimate and are subject to change unless a deposit has been made. Receiving a quote is not a confirmation that your project has been accepted. Quotes given are for the commissioned product only, shipping and handling costs are not included.

2.3.  Waiting list

You can request to be on the waiting list if your project is not initially accepted. You will be notified if you are placed on the waiting list, however this does not mean your project is accepted. There is no obligation for you to commission me during the wait period so you may cancel any time. If this is the case, please notify me so I can offer the slot to someone else. I will not take deposits or any kind of payment until I know I can start your project. I reserve the right to clear the waiting list without reason.

3.  Payment

Upon receiving a quote, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required in order to secure your slot. You will need to pay the deposit within 48 hours otherwise your slot will be offered to someone else. The deposit will cover the cost of equipment and materials. Please let me know if deposit payment will be late so we can determine a deadline. If you miss the deadline, your slot will be forfeited. Payments can be paid in full or in two instalments (applicable for full suits only). All payments are to be made in GBP. A payment plan may be offered on a case-to-case basis.

3.1.  Payment Deadline

You must pay within 48 hours upon receiving the invoice. If you are going to be late, please notify me before the deadline. Late payments without notifying me will incur an additional fee of 100 GBP. If the invoice is not paid within a month, your project will be cancelled, and you will be refunded except for the 30% deposit.

3.2.  Payment Plan

If a payment plan is agreed, you must pay within 48 hours upon receiving the invoice. If you are going to be late, please notify me before the deadline. Late payments without notifying me will incur an additional fee of 100 GBP. It is possible to delay payment by 4 weeks, but it must be accepted by me first. If you miss payment twice in succession (i.e. two months of non-payment) your project will be cancelled, and you will be refunded except for the 30% non-refundable deposit. The payment plan period will be determined per commission period. I require full payment before work can commence. Payment plans are not available for purchases under 400 GBP.

3.3.  Payment Method

The preferred payment method is PayPal. Other payment methods may be considered upon discussion.

4.  Creation Process

Due to the handmade and custom nature of your project, there will be some asymmetries and imperfections. You also understand there will be differences between the design and final product as the design will be translated into my style (i.e., kemono style), additionally not all 2D features will translate well to 3D.

4.1.  Sizing

Correct measurements, and/or a good duct-tape dummy (DTD) are required in order to make a correct fitting project. I will not be responsible for any sizing issues.

4.1.1.  Duct-tape Dummy

An incorrectly or poorly constructed DTD will incur an extra fee 50 GBP to fix, any sizing issues that occur as a result of the fix will not be my responsibility. Alternatively, you may remake the DTD and send it to me within 14 days. A dirty and unpleasant smelling DTD will be discarded, and you will be requested to remake and send it within 14 days otherwise your project will be cancelled, and you will be refunded for work that is not yet completed (the 30% deposit is not refundable). Please be prepared to show proof of postage. If sending the DTD from outside the UK, please declare the package as “gift” and do not state a value otherwise custom or import fees may be incurred. If any fees do arise, it is your responsibility to cover them. Any fees will be added to the shipping quote. You may chose the shipping service however please bear in mind you will need to remake and resend the DTD if it gets lost in the post.

4.2.  Materials

I will ensure that the materials used are high quality. Please bear in mind that fur colours available are limited. I will do my best to colour match but finding a match may not always be possible. If there are any materials colours you would like me to use, please let me know on the order form. In certain circumstances, you may purchase and send the material to me however if I consider the material to be of low quality, it will not be used for the project. You will need to pay additional fees for any materials I order as a result. If sending the materials, you must provide proof of ordering and dispatch. If I do not receive the materials within 3 months after paying the deposit, I reserve the right to cancel your project.

4.2.1.  3D printed heads

The heads will be built on a 3D printed head which I have modelled. Small modifications such as expression, eye shape and muzzle length to an existing head base are free of charge. I reserve the right to reuse these models for future commissions and projects. I can model a custom head from scratch for a non-refundable fee which will be added to the deposit. Fees will be determined upon discussion and will include one miniature prototype print and small modifications. Additional prototype prints and larger modifications will incur and additional fee. Any bases I model or alter will still belong to me and I reserve the right to use the files however I see fit. You will not be sent the files containing the 3D models. Additionally, stripping down the head and making a mould from the 3D base, whether for personal or commercial purposes is prohibited and will result in blacklisting.

4.3.  Work in Progress

I will send work in progress photos for confirmation at every major stage. If any changes are required, please give a detailed description of what is required. Confirmation will be required again after changes are made before continuing. Please be prompt with replying in order to prevent delays with project completion. Please do not constantly ask me updates, I will update you whenever I've made significant progress. Requests for updates when I have none, will be ignored. If it becomes harassing, I will cancel your project. Upon confirmation of the work in progress photos, I may upload the photos to my social media – please let me know if you want me to keep the photos private.

4.4.  Changes

Once the deposit has been made, any changes to the character design may be declined or may require additional costs to order new material depending on the progress. The unused material will not be refunded but may be sent to you per request if you cover the shipping fees. Please notify me of any required changes as soon as possible. Any changes required after confirming any work in progress photos may be declined or incur additional fees.

4.5.  Deadlines

I do not offer rush orders or guarantee a completion date or deadline. Due to my current full-time work schedule, weekends will be reserved for fursuit making, therefore I will take longer than other fursuit makers. Please bear in mind, I may take some breaks if I feel my work is lacking in order to ensure a high-quality finished project.

4.6.  Premades

Upon purchasing one of my premade designs, all character rights belong to the buyer. No additional permission required for commercial purposes.

4.7.  “Adult” suits

I have no issues with my projects being used for adult activities however at this stage I do not offer this kind of modification as an option. You are welcome to modify or alter the suit but please bear in mind this voids the warranty. Additionally, I will also decline to perform repairs for hygiene purposes.

5.  Shipping

Upon completion, shipping options will be discussed after which you will receive an invoice for the shipping fees. A small handling fee will also be added to cover the packaging material. Your project will be sent fully tracked and insured. It is the buyer’s responsibility to cover all shipping fees. Once the parcel has left my possessions, I bear no responsibility for any problems that may occur in transit. Any issues that arise must be dealt with the postal company. The project will be shipped to the address linked to your PayPal account.

5.1.  International shipping

If you reside outside the UK, you may be required to pay import VAT and/or customs fees. I have no control over this, and I cannot give you an estimate of these fees.

6.  Warranty & repairs

My suits have a 90-day warranty from the date the suit is delivered (date given via tracked shipping option). The warranty covers any construction defects. The warranty does not cover general wear and tear or incorrect fit as a result of incorrect measurements.  You may perform small repairs (e.g., popped seams) with my authorisation without affecting the warranty. Other unauthorised repairs or alterations will void the warranty.  Any repairs required not covered by the warranty or after the warranty expires will be charged according to an hourly fee. You must cover all fees which includes shipping or any import/custom fees. If sending the suit back for repairs, please ensure that the suit is clean and washed. I will not repair any dirty or unpleasant smelling suits; they will be sent back at your own expense. I may decline any repairs not covered by the warranty without reason.

7.  Refunds

You may cancel and request a refund during the construction stage of the project up to the furring stage. Once the patterning for the furring stage has started, you are no longer eligible for a refund. The amount refunded will depend on the amount of work completed. The initial 30% deposit and any late or additional material fees will not be refunded. You will not be sent your uncompleted project, instead it may be destroyed or altered and resold. No refunds will be given upon completion of the project. Any requests for refunds after I have finished the project will be declined. I will not refund for damages as a result of improper storage or handling. I also reserve the right to refuse a refund at my own discretion.

If you are commissioning a full suit, you may cancel before paying the second instalment. You will receive your project, but you will not receive the leftover material unless requested.

Upon full payment, if I do not complete your project within 3 years, you are entitled to a full refund (including the 30% deposit and any additional fees). You are also entitled to a full refund if I have to cancel your project due to health reasons.

8.  Contact

You can contact me on my Instagram, Twitter or you can email me. I also use Discord, my usertag will be given upon acceptance of project if needed. I will try to respond as soon as I can, in some cases I may take up to a week to reply depending on my workload. Urgent messages or messages regarding a project I am working on will be replied to promptly.

Please aim to reply to my questions within 48 hours. If I do not receive a response from you within 14 days, I reserve the right to cancel your project. You will receive a partial refund depending on how much work is done – this will be determined by me. After this cancellation, I will not continue work on the project except for special circumstances which will be judged on a case-to-case basis, otherwise your project may be destroyed or altered significantly and resold. If the project is completed and contact between us has ceased, no refund will be given. If the shipping cost has not been covered then the project will be stored for 3 months before being destroyed if contact has not been established. If shipping costs are covered then the project will be shipped to the address linked to your PayPal account. If no address is given, then the project will be stored for 3 months. If contact has not been established, then the project will be destroyed, and your shipping fees will be refunded. In both circumstances, no refunds for your project will be given.

9.  Disclaimer

You are aware and accept that due to the nature of the “kemono” style fursuit (i.e., far apart eyes, small mouth opening, and muzzle), vision and ventilation may be poor. Plastic eyes will be prone to fogging which will impair vision. A forehead fan just circulates the air around the face and will not eliminate the fogging. Upgrading to ear fans should help to reduce the fogging, but it is not guaranteed. The addition of fans may also impair your hearing when switched on. The eye domes of the plastic eyes may have some light scratches which do not impact vision and would only be visible up close. This is due to my supplier and is out of my control. I will do my best to use areas with the least scratches. Occasionally there may be some warping or distortion on small areas of the plastic domes (usually around the edges) – these should not greatly impact the vision. No refunds will be given for these complaints.

3D printed head bases may have some loose filament or other minor misprints which do not affect the strength of the head and will not be visible from the outside. As everyone’s head is built differently, you may be required to adjust the padding to suit your level of comfort. These heads also get very warm, even with a fan so please take care and know your limits.

No refunds will be given for any experimental parts or features - you would have only been charged material costs (and maybe an additional fee if overly complex) so request at your own risk. The outcome may not be what you expect and you will not be refunded. I may also decline to fix it.

It is your responsibility to perform safely in a fursuit – having a fursuit handler is highly recommended. I am not liable for any injuries which may occur as a result of wearing one of my creations.

10.  Credit

Credit is appreciated but not always required. Please do not claim credit for my handiwork.

11.  Reselling

You have the right to resell your project if you desire but please do not charge more than what you have paid unless you have altered the design significantly (e.g., re-furring etc.) or if it comes with additional parts, badges or art that were not made by me. Overcharging for your unaltered project will result in you being blacklisted whereby the blacklisted commissioner will be banned from further and future services.  I will also disown the project as my creation and decline to perform any repairs requested by the new owner.

Privacy Policy

Whilst working with me, I will require you to provide personally identifying information including: full name, postal address and telephone number. This information will be used for contact purposes.

All personally identifying information disclosed will not be shared with third party sources and will be erased after 90 days upon you receiving your project.
